Cowtan & Tout is the premiere provider of luxury home textiles in the U.S. and umbrella five distinct textile brands each with its own unique approach to design. Flat was engaged to create an online showroom for Cowtan & Tout. Flat’s challenge was to unify the company while showcasing each of the brands which range from the subtle and traditional English elegance of Colefax and Fowler to the architectural and distinctly modern American textiles of Larsen.

Flat utilized a single unified wrapper for the site but changed palette and typography to fit each brand. Because the textiles are visual in nature Flat created an intuitive slide show that mimics a showroom experience and a large space in the design for photography so that the fabrics could be pictured appropriately.
